    Team Building

Amy is Events Lead for Blind Tiger Comedy, and helps book and create workshops for organizations looking to up their creativity and improve connection. Improv uses soft skills like listening, body awareness, idea generation and memory, and can make teams more productive and people more engaged.

Amy believes that a foundation of positivity and trust breeds risk-taking. She leads workshops in the corporate training world, focused on how the skills of improvisation can bring teams together, help with adaptability, and enliven creativity. Whether your group is a professional organization, a small business, or a non-profit, Amy would love to hear about your unique challenges, and to lead a workshop for you.

Amy has had the pleasure of working with many organizations, including the following:

    • Alberta College of Dental Assistants
    • Alberta School Boards Association
    • Alberta Workers Compensation Board
    • DDB Canada
    • Oxford Property Managers
    • Ready Engineering
    • UBC Department of Linguistics
    • University of Alberta Alumni Association
    • The Works Art & Design Festival

“Amy’s energetic attitude and creative activities were instrumental in driving key messages home to our staff in a fun, all-inclusive environment. She definitely made the time spent together memorable and the staff were highly engaged. We would strongly recommend her to any organization!”

Lindsay Whyte, Property Manager, Edmonton City Centre

“Engaging, energetic and fun, Amy Shostak’s “Learning Leadership Skills through Improvisation” was a huge hit at our Leadership Summit. Participants loved this active and creative way to learn and practice leadership skills. It also served as a great ice-breaker for our large, diverse group.”

Vanessa Welz, Office of Alumni Relations, University of Alberta

The facilitator did a fabulous job. She was able to get everyone involved, even when that meant they had to step outside their comfort zones.”

Jennifer Tewes, Registrar, College of Alberta Dental Assistants

“Amy’s vibrant, nurturing personality helped make all of the newly-arrived interns feel immediately comfortable. Within the professionally-run session, Amy successfully created a safe space in which interns quickly learned to trust their fellow teammates enough to take risks. The workshop laid the foundation for the rest of the summer, emphasizing the importance of communication, trust and teamwork. I can’t wait to have her back next year!”

Stephanie Bailey, Education and Outreach Coordinator, The Works Art & Design Festival 2015
